    Hi Coomerce,

You can follow the Troubleshooting steps described in the MS document when device activation isn't completed and it fails during one of the steps:

RE: MPOS Activation Error: The configuration key is not valid

Did you install Retail Server by using Legacy or Sealed Installer?

That error will take place if your Retail Server's configuration file contains non Guid value in the attribute Id of the element Tenant. If it has a value of ADFS, replace it with empty guid: 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000

This doesn't take place in latest (since approx 1 month ago) Sealed CSU installers.

RE: MPOS Activation Error: The configuration key is not valid

    Thanks, Sergey

By replacing the ADFS in Attribute Tenant ID  and Transaction Service Azure Resource in the configuration file, MPOS got activated.

Meanwhile, Store Commerce App still has the same issue.

RE: MPOS Activation Error: The configuration key is not valid

I do not expect you to change anything else other that what I outlined in the above message, so, you should not change Transaction Service Azure Resource.

    Assuming:

    a) MPOS and Store Commerce are pointing to the same Retail Server

    b) You replaced Retail Server's configuration file attribute tenant-Id from ADFS to Empty Guid

    c) MPOS device activation successfully completed

It is not possible you are getting the same error as before with Store Commerce. Please provide the details, especially correlation ID if there are any, such as AppSessionId or Activity Id for instance.

Also, given you have direct access to your Retail Server, have a look into its logs in Event Viewer to see if there are warnings/errors which can help you narrowing the error down.
