Problems with printing sizes through Navision

Posted on by 17

Hello,

NAV version 2013. Our client has interesting problem regarding printing. First user prints special sticker on Zebra printer from Navision. And then the same user wants to print sales order without preview and printing size is in the size as it was on Zebra sticker printer. So it means system didn't understand the right paper size. But if they use preview log and then start printing, everything is okay.

It looks like there is problem with some setting switching between printers and sizes, but could this be related with Navision or it is more like Windows settings and issue? Client mentioned this happens to users with Windows 11.

Thank you

From my experience, it's something to do with the PC, maybe the OS, driver or some other setting.

When developing special printing in NAV, such as Zebra printer. It is necessary to go to the customer's site to adjust, and it may show no problem on the my development machine, but the user's PC is different.

I'm not an expert on printing, but it's more of a PC setup issue than NAV.

Hope this can give you some hints.

    Thanks.

you need to check which printer the report being printing is sent to. different reports could be printed on different printers. also check if the printer setting on windows is correct, as well as other spots concerning printer setting

Hi There - I am not sure the problem is clear enough for me to answer, can you explain the preview log you mentioned? Is it a custom page/view?

Probably other community members may understand and pitch in accordingly
