Product 1058 does not support upgrading from version 9.0.31 - Bank Management

Hi All,

A client of ours recently upgraded from GP10 to GP2015 R2. They recently requested to use the Bank Management module. When enabling it and running GP Utilities, we're encountering the error when validating the product information:

"Product 1058 does not support upgrading from version 9.0.31".

Kindly note that, as the error version number specifies, Bank Management wasn't installed on their former GP version. When making a thorough search, I found out the product 1058 is the Cashbook module which I assume makes part of Cashbook Bank Management, one of the Bank Management modules.

Has anyone had the same issue and found a workaround? Maybe we can reinitialise the data in its tables?

Thanks and best regards,

Andreas Friggieri

I agree with you Bill, thanks for your reply. I'm looking for a workaround, such as removing specific Bank Management related tables, to be able to reinitialise the module.

Andreas, I am pretty sure that with this error message that as some point in the history of this installation - someone during the version 9 era - when doing an installation, update or service pack - or worse - creating a new workstation - choose that module to install.

If it was not registered, it was not a problem.  However, as you are now learning Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 R2 feels that the code is already installed and is trying to do an update from that version.

Hope this helps get you directed on the right path.
