Hi:

Unless you have a debit and credit field on each record, don't you have to have a Balance Account Number for a journal entry?

    There is a Balance Account Type and Balance Account No. available.  The use of the debit and credit field do not exclude the use of the Balance Account fields.

    Hi ,

    In all the Journal there is Balance Account No field.

    if you are unable to see this field then

    1. Go to setting icon and then choose personalize

    2. Click on Field icon then search the word Balance Account No. and then drag and drop the field in Journal.

    Is the answer "yes", in that you have to have a Balance Account Number in your journal entries?

    Yes there is a field. Some use it and some put the balancing entry on a second line.  BC gives you a choice.
