Edit the submit buttons in forms

In the model-driven apps, is it possible that I can edit the names of buttons? I have a quick create form and I want to replace the "save and close" button with something else. Is this possible in D365 right now?

Any help or suggestions will highly be appreciated.

    Hi Samreen,

I am sorry. I discussed with all teamates and also test in Ribbon Workbench while found no luck on this.

I thought this is by design as there're some many entities having quick create form while you need to customize all these forms' 'Save and New' button from your requirement.

And I think OOB 'Save and New' is more clear that 'Continue' which told customer you could quick create another entity record after saving it.

    Hope above would help.

    Thanks.

    Regards

    Johnny

    Hi Johnny,

Actually the client I am working it wants to change the button name to "Continue".

I do have the updated D365 online. I saw that they have updated it as a drop-down (say) with "Save and New", but this doesn't seem to fulfill my requirement here.

If you have any idea how we can change it, that would be of great help.

    Regards,

    Samreen

    Hi Samreen,

Could you share more about your business background. Why do you want to change the 'Save and Close' button description in quick create form?

As I know, this button command and description has been modified as 'Save and New' in the D365 Release Wave2.

I tried to find this quick create form button in Ribbon Workbench while there's no luck.

You just need to enable Release Wave2 Update if you just want to change to 'Save and New' function.

    Thanks

    Regards

    Johnny
