Hello,

I have a query regarding Fixed Assets in Business Central. Some Fixed Assets were mistakenly set up in the company's BC profile. These assets lack a Book Value and do not have any associated FA Ledger Entries, yet they appear to have been acquired.

I've encountered difficulty in deleting these Fixed Assets. Could someone please advise if there's a workaround for this issue?

Hi Victor,

Thanks for your response, I believe I also mentioned earlier that with my current permissions and the fact that I don't have a Business Central Essential license, I can't do a config. pack

Yes, you can only extend it once. Now you have to recreate the environment, or upgrade to a paid environment.

Thank you for the reply, it looks like this company can't extend its trial.

However, if I go into their Production environment, I cannot delete the FA, I hit the delete button and it does nothing and the General FastTab is grayed out.

Hi

License entitlement is resolved before permissions. If you were accessing the system on an admi role or Team Member license - this would have prevented you from creating or deleting FA records (and many others!).

Hopefully you got the Essential license assigned and then could work through the suggestions provided below :)

Hi Valentin,

I receive no error or any message of any kind when I choose the Delete button on the FA card. I am supposed to be given an Essential license. Hopefully, that will solve the issue. I have no idea why so many features are grayed out for me. I have SUPER as a permission.

Hi Valentin,

You're right, I can see the Delete button on the FA card but clicking it doesn't actually delete the FA. Just wanted to bring this to your attention.
