Remove accidentally created entities from standard solution?

Hi folks,

A couple of months ago I accidentally created 3 entities in the standard solution of my test-environment.

I have since then created (and exported) numerous new solutions which claimed that these new entities (although I never actually used them) are mandatory, so the got exported. I can see them nog in my production environment as well.

Is it possible to delete these entities somehow? I need to create them in a new solution (of course).

Thanks for your help!

    Hi JD,

Do you want to remove the entity from the solution or delete it from the system?

If you remove (not delete) the entity from your solution you will just remove the reference from your solution, it will still exist in the Default Solution and your CRM system.

Hi JD_G, because they were imported as dependencies you will probably not be able to delete the entities on your production.

You will need to remove those entities from the exported solutions and import back with stage for upgrade. This way, entities will be deleted in your production environment.

Thanks Miguel, I spent some time doing that. I got the entities deleted from my default solution in DEV, end found that these entities were indeed exported as dependencies in (only) 3 custom solutions.  However when importing the first one I got error messages which seem unrelated to this issue.

The error said that when importing, a certain form (unrelated to the entities mentioned above) could not be changed from Unmanaged to Managed.

However, this form is not even present in this solution on TST. I only have the entity and 2 fields, no views or forms.

Obviously I am missing someting here, what could it be?

Maybe it is an inactive form?

If you extract the customizations file, maybe it is there?

    Hi Miguel,

Thanks. I'm going to have to research this further but will mark your first reply as the answer because that seems the correct way to deal with this.
