Publishing as DEV from VSC keeps hanging

Since the begining of the month, I'm having issue publishing extension to Business Central from Visual Studio Code.
It keeps hanging, no error. I waited up to 30 minutes.
It seems to be random. Some times it's working fine, other times, it just doesn't work
I have the issue with more than 1 tenant, with or without debugging.
I tried clearing credentials, using release and pre-release version of AL Language extension
I am able to download symbol.
I also tried restarting the environment
I went as far as recreating the sandbox completely with a new name.
Not sure what else I could try

I am adding some info. The app gets published, I can see it in the extension management, but VSC doesn't seem to be aware of it and keeps hanging
I have the same question (0)

    Hello Juliem,

I faced the same issue a week ago.

I reloaded VS Code and tried again to publish the extension, and it worked.
    Can you try that?

    Thanks

As per above statement , RCA seems to be of connectivity to host .

    1) Environment is of Customer or your organization for which you are trying to publish . Check have they kept any firewall settings or internet speed of your PC.
    2) Change the environement and try to publish sample hello world file . Are you able to publish or not
    3) Change  the user and publish from other PC .

Still you face the issue then Re-install the Visual studio code

And again do the steps from scratch

    Please try the following steps:
    1. Clear the credential cache and restart Visual Studio Code.
    2. Remove the oldest .alpackages from your workspace.
    3. Re-download the symbols and try publishing again.
If the issue still persists, it may be caused by the package size being too large, which can result in the connection being reset from time to time and eventually timing out.

    Thanks,
    Nimsara

As I mentionned, I already tried reloading VSC, clear credentials, downloading symbols (which works fine)
Removing older packages didn't change anything.
I am able to publish the same app on a different tenant.
Publishing Hello World on problematic sandbox does work
Publishing same app on same tenant in a different sandbox is also working
The difference between the sandboxes is that the one that is working is older and prior to their migration from Dynamics Nav to Business Central and they only have a few companies in it.
The problematic sandbox is a copy of Production who has 170 companies.

The extension does get installed and is running properly.
My issue is I can't debug since VSC keeps hanging

Are you using the latest AL extension and Visual Studio Code? If not, try updating them and try again. If the issue is related to debugging, can you debug some objects, or are you planning to set a breakpoint in standard objects or custom objects?

Either way, I have seen issues with debugging, but a restart of VS Code usually fixes those issues.

Yes I am using latest version of VSCode and AL Extension (tried both release and pre-release)
I was able to debug the basic HelloWorld app in the faulty sandbox
I was able to debug the main app in a different sandbox with only a couple companies
I am unable to debug the main app in the faulty sandbox.

My suspicion is that since it's rather big app (multiple new tables and table extensions) in a sandbox with a lot of companies (over 150) there is some kind of time out that is occuring in VSCode.

I've had this problem before and recreating the environment solved it.
So you can copy this environment and recreate a Sandbox to try.

    Thanks.
