Receiving an unconfirmed Purchase Order from the warehouse app

Hi,

we have just discovered we can physically receive stock using the mobile app on an unconfirmed PO!

is that expected functionality or is there a way to disable this functionality?

Good day,

That’s correct; you can indeed register stock for a non-confirmed purchase order.

You may want to consider configuring a purchase order workflow. If the purchase order is in draft status, you cannot register the goods.

This is a standard functionality , because you PO confirmation is related to the vendor so if the vendor is delivering the items and your warehouse worker is registering it means that the vendor is delivering it , if you want this can be stopped either using workflow or making querys in work template for approval of Purchase order

Hi,

That sounds odd... At least in 10.0.41. I had a look at the code just to verify.

A purchase order can be received, if one of these conditions are met:

The PO has approval status Approved or Confirmed,

The PO has approval status "In external review", and this parameter is enabled in the WHS parameters:

If you want to change the logic, you can make a developer create an extension (CoC) for this method:
WHSPurchaseOrderReceivingValidator.canReceivePurchaseOrder()

This is the normal behavior of the system. If you want to put a restriction then add a workflow to PO.
