Delayed receipts vs Backorder purchase lines

Dear community,

Can someone explain the difference in functionality and purpose of these two inquiry forms, as they look identical to me, so it got me confused:

Procurement and sourcing/Purchase orders/Purchase orders follow-up/Backorder purchase lines

Procurement and sourcing/Purchase orders/Purchase orders follow-up/Delayed receipts

Is there any reason I would use both?

Kind regards,

    Hi,
I don't see a difference between the two, they seem to show the same thing, you can also check out old threads related to this.
Backorder purchase lines 'v' delayed receipts reports (dynamics.com)

    Hi,

I have already seen that however I am not finding that response to be enough for me, so I hoped for another take on this.

I believe the "Backorder Purchase Lines" will show any items that are on backorder but the "Delayed Receipts" only shows backorders that are past due. So, the "Backorder Purchase Lines" will show all backorders even if they aren't yet delayed. The "Delayed Receipts" applies a filter to the backordered lines. Someone feel free to correct me if I am mistaken.

From what I see date filters and deliver remainder the same way on both forms, so I doubt that is the difference.
