How to copy a sales quote exactly (not same customer / inc description, price and quantity)?

Hello,

Appreciate if anyone can advise on this when using the copy document function.
Is there a way to copy the information in full (exact lines, qty and price) without it being the same customer?

If we use the copy document function before selecting the same customer, we encounter the below error message.

Eg: We created a quote for customer A and customer B comes asking for the exact same quote due to it being the same project. Our steps right now to prepare the quote for customer B:

1. Create new quote, select customer A first
2. Copy document - Sales quote
3. Once all the information is copied in, then will change to customer B but will get the following message below.
4. The lines will reset - item descriptions and price. Then we have to refer back to the quote for customer A to re-enter the information.

This can get very tedious especially if it is a long quote and may miss out to re-enter some of the information that got reset.

Hello, unfortunately, the 'Copy Document' function will not work in your case.
The easiest way for this is to copy the Sales Lines from Customer A's sales quote and copy it to Customer B's sales quote.
This way, you can maintain the same description, qty and value.

    Hi Yun Zhu,

Yes, this works to copy over directly with the full details inside. However when we change the customer, it resets also... (the column for price becomes blank).

    Hello Cheyenne,

You can just 'Ctrl+C' on the sales line, go to the other sales quote and paste the lines using 'Ctrl+V'.
It is the easiest and quickest way to do it.

Sorry I misunderstood you, or you can try the following function.
