Resco Mobile Workflows (Show additional info based on lookup field selection)

Hey everyone - I've been trying to create some onsave rules because a client of mine is utilizing Resco Mobile Offline (as they work in many warehouses and are unable to connect and sync constantly).

One issue I am having is how to build an onsave rule that populates information based on a lookup field. Example: For the Work Order Product, we have a product field where you lookup the product and once that is selected and saved I want the productid field to populate. I was told to follow this blog article but I still don't understand (based on the logic in the article) how the productid field I built is populated... nothing calls to it in my rule:

    Hi Bsenger,

I recently wrote a blog on how to do this. Hopefully its more helpful.

Thank you this helped a bunch - I was wondering how we can ensure data is stored locally for a particular entity? Is there or setting or how is this achieved? Thank you!

Just make sure that the entities you want are enabled and that the sync filters for those entities are bringing in the data you want when the user syncs.

Alright last question here, I set everything up the way you described in the blog. When I select a product in the work order entity the productid field now returns the value: product.productid instead of the actual id number... what am I missing here?

    So that I understand.

Are you on the 'Work Order' or the 'Work Order Product' form?

It looks like you have everything done correctly.

What value did you want to bring back? The Product GUID? The Product Name?

We created a new field for their own product id that they track and it is a mixture of numbers of letters. Every time I select a product on the work order product form it literally just shows me the value: product.productid

Ah I see. You need to hit the grey [x] button next to the field so you can select the fields you want (You dont need to type anything in). Because at the moment you are literally assigning some text called "product.productid"
