Our second sequence in the router is sending a sample of our product to the lab for QA. From the GP help file:
“You can mark QA Sequence if the sequence is an inspection or testing step. Marking the option is only informational and doesn’t affect any processing or transactions. “
If there is a labor cost involved with the QA, should we leave it unchecked? Our QA involves chemical analysis, so it can be in depth. I'm inclined to leave it unchecked because we might have a chemist spend an hour of labor on QA, but maybe I am reading this wrong.*This post is locked for comments
That helps a lot. Thanks.
What GP is trying to say........
Whether you check the checkbox or not - there is no difference in the actual code or logic of the system. It will affect nothing. It won't affect costs, routing time, etc.
It's simply there for information purposes............you could for example, alter your traveler to highlight QA sequence etc...
Note - the sequence data elements will affect costs, time, etc. So if you wanted to add the cost of the QA process to the cost of the product you could do so.
Hope this helps.....
