Sql server 2008 r2 and Back office

I just replaced sql server 2000 to sql server 2008 r2 express and now I cant connect to back office.

Is special  instruction on r2 ? I can see al the shared file on same pc and I also can ping from back office. But I cant connect to RMS.

    Here is full error,  2147467259 dbnetlib , connection open handshake, general network error,check your network decumention. source; msoledb provider for sql server, sql state;08001

    What version of RMS are you using?

    Named pipes or TCP/IP?

    Did you open the TCP/IP and Named Pipes protocols after the install?   They are turned off by default now starting with 2005.

    Mr Jeff , thanks for helping

    Fixed, When I installed sql server 2008r2 I think I didn't enable sql server browser, But I found article on google which helped me to solve the problem. On the SQL studio I connected like that and It start working. servername: REGPC\192.168.1.5,1433

    this is for 2005 but same step as 2008 as well.

    Had the same issue and just had to restart the SQL Server Browser

    Thanks to everyone who has posted on this issue.  Turned a long process into a very short one to resolve.
