How to add multiple service items to a service contract

Hi Service Management experts,

To add a service item to a Service Contract, I would select one from the list of Service Items to add.

But in a case where the contract should comprise of 100 service items, going through the list 100 times would be unreasonable.

I tried multi-select of the Service Items, but when I clicked on OK, only the last item in the list is added to the Service Contract.

The multi-select of Service Items does not add multiple lines to the Contract.  Is there a way to add multiple Service Items to a contract?

Thank you

    Hi,

As you wrote, there is no way to add multiple service items at once from the service contract screen.
However, you can use the Edit in Excel function to edit multiple service contract lines in Excel and reflect them in the service contract at once.

    Peter,

Adding to what Shinichi replied... Edit in Excel is quick and simple tool to add and publish back. If you like copy/paste you can add a list using copy/paste. Here are screenshots showing this:

Highlight Excel rows for the columns and click CTRL-C and then right Click in the first column in Service Lines and click Paste:

Hi, I checked the standard code and it is true that multiple selection is not supported in the standard function.

But as you know, in the Sales order line, there is a Select items button, you can select multiple items.
If you have a developer, you can refer to this function to make a small customization, which will be much more convenient.

    Hope this will help.

Hi Steven and Shinichi, thank you for the confirmation to my above question and providing alternatives.

As Zhu mentioned, I may need customization that could use the codes from Sales Order - Select Items.

I've not used this feature "Select Items" to select multiple items into a Sales Order, but when I tried, the error message seems strange to ask me to select G/L Account type when I selected Items.

    What steps am I missing?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Please raise this as a requirement to add multiple lines to a service contract via https://aka.ms/bcideas . If you have the idea, add it here so people can vote for it. I will ask internally that people from CSS will add a vote as well.

    Thanks.

    Hi Marco

Thanks for the suggestion.  I've added this requirement to the list.
