moving a Smartlist from dev to another dev

Hi,

 I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to move a Anyview smartlist from one dev environment to another dev.

I've tried exporting the smartlist as a .xml and importing in the other environment. However, I received an error message on import stating to create in tree view. Tried several techniques, and none successful.
