How to move Database to New Hard Drive?

Hello, my computer which has RMS and POS installed on it is filling up the 80GB hard drive. I have installed a NEW 1TB hard drive(second drive).

1st) I wish to copy the database files to the new hard drive

2nd) I want to have my daily back-ups to continue but, to the new drive.

So my question(s) are what files/folders do I need to copy?

How do I change the default settings in RMS to point to the new location?

This is all on the same machine, so no worries about server stuff. Thanks.

Save your database to a bck file, uninstall sql, then reinstall to the new drive and restore bck.

Another, I would think potentially easier (depending on how much you wanted to move over) would be to have your IT person set up the new hard drive as a slave drive and then you can copy and paste all of the files you want from the old hard drive to the new one.

Otherwise, If you only want a few things copied over such as one or two databases and SQL moved over, then Matt's way would probably be simpler.
