Dynamics 365 CE - Manager field

Hi All,

I am being given a task to complete, which I need help with, please. as you know, D365 CE does not pull the manager's record to user from office 365; I hope to bulk update about 1300 user records in the system with their manager's names received from HR.

I can pull the GUID of the managers out from CE using XRM, but I will like to confirm the easiest and possible way of updating the users' records with their manager's names, respectively, with no issue.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Can you just clarify if you are trying to get the data FROM Azure AD for the hierarchy relationship to push into D365 Sales or you have the hierarchy already in D365 Sales and you want to push it into Azure AD?  Wasn't really clear in your question.

    Thanks.

    Hi partner,

Maybe you can get & set manager of CDS|D365 users with Power Automate flow.

The link below tells how to use Power Automate flow to automatically set the manager field for a Dynamics 365 User record based on the Manager attribute in Azure AD and Office 365.

Thank You so much for this, and it's already packaged as an unmanaged solution - currently, there is a change freeze in my organization; this step will require change - can I do it in another way without using the power to automate flow?

    Hi Partner,

You can update manager field of the user through with export / reimport.

1.Export the user view with columns you want.
