how to make text field as hyperlink in view

In public view,we need to make a text field as hyperlink( like a lookup field )

Example,

we have field city in view when user click that city in view it should open a new tab with that city located in Map

you can't do with a standard view

you can build your own html-webresource view

No supported way of doing this unless you design a custom html grid with java script or jquery with hyper linked columns.

Rajkumar- This code is to convert text field on Form not on view.

The possible way you have to change the text field to lookup . Try to create a custom entity City and make it as a lookup in your entity. When user clicks on city it will open city entity.

Agree with Guido, the view can not be customized to have such hyperlink. You can have a text field with type hyperlink on the entity form. This hyperlink field will have the value set when city is selected (using JavaScript). The value of this field will be the link to open city located in Map. Also, you can make this field read-only. Just that you need to add this field in the view.

Would this work for Email?

A user wants to be able to click an email address in a view and open and new email in Outlook.
