Multi-Level BOM for Process Manufacturing Without Semi-Finished Item Tracking

Hi Everyone,
I hope you're doing well.

I would like to confirm whether it's possible to create a multi-level BOM for the following process manufacturing scenario, without creating semi-finished goods in the system or tracking their cost separately.
Process 1:
  • Raw Material 1
  • Raw Material 2
  • Raw Material 3
Process 2:
  • Raw Material 4
  • Raw Material 5
  • Raw Material 6

Routes For Labor and FOH.

Final Output:
  • Finished Good
The goal is to structure the BOM to reflect multiple process stages while avoiding the need to define or manage semi-finished items.

Thanks,
Raheel

    Hello Raheel

So the process is one route and 2 operations (Process),  you will be consuming first 3 RMs in operation1 and next 3 RMs Operation2.
For  this you can use BOM designer to link each raw material to operation.

    Hope this work for you.

    Hi Terry and Ranjanj

With this approach, I won’t need to create semi-finished goods items, which aligns with my requirement. I can directly move from Process 1 to Process 2, and then to the final output – the Finished Goods and the 6 Raw material cost will apply on finished goods product?

    Thank you,
    Raheel
