Edits to System Views Won't Publish

If I create a customize system view, or even edit an out-of-the-box view, the changes don't take effect. The only way I can get it to work is to create a brand new system view - and make sure it's exactly the way I want it the first time. This happens with all entity types - accounts, leads, campaigns, etc.

Edits such as changing the column width, or the filters, or adding columns don't publish. I've waited days, checked in other browsers, and clicked the refresh icon on the far right. Nothing.

And the changes are saved. If I go back to Customize > View and check out how the current view is supposed to look, it's showing those changes I saved earlier.

Any ideas? Thanks a bunch!

The views are not updated inside outlook client or they are not updated also when using the browser?

When using the browser. They aren't working properly in the outlook client either. I made the edits to the view from the browser, for what it's worth.

    Hello,

Please create a new field in any form and then add that field to the form, Publish it. Check if you are able to view that field on the form.

Just want to confirm if you're publishing functionality is not broken in CRM. Also let us know if it is CRM Online or CRM On Premise, If it is CRM On Premise, which Update Roll up is your CRM Server on.

    Thanks & Regards,

Yes, I've been able to create new fields and publish edits to forms - I've been able to do that with accounts, contacts, campaign responses, and leads. I've modified existing forms.

    I have CRM online.

    Thanks Rob!

Ah, I just noticed that it's now working properly! I see the new columns in the view I had added nearly 3 days ago.

Very strange. I wonder if this type of customization just hangs up for a really long time - or if there was some weird thing I did that refreshed it....?

I can't say for certain this has happened every time I try to edit a view. I've given up many times and just deleted it entirely.

    Hey Brooke,

I have seen this a year ago in CRM Online where the customizations done gets saved but does not publish, I would request you to keep a close eye on this and let us know if you see this happening again.

    Thank You.

I'm having a very similar problem.  I edited some views this morning that took 3 hours to finally show up.  I created 2 new entities over an hour ago, they aren't showing yet.  Any tips?

    Hello,

I believe there was some issue for about 3 or 4 days but it's working fine now. If you still face issues where customizations take a lot of time to publish then I would recommend opening up a case with the support.

    Thanks & Regards,
