Hello,

Can I create custom views or reports based on CRM audit logs?  If so, how?  Also, is it possible to download audit data to an Excel file?

Thanks!

    Hi tgiard,

Unfortunately, there is no OOB way to create custom views or reports based on CRM audit logs.

We can use ‘Attribute Audit Explorer’ of XrmToolBox to download audit data to Excel file.

This is the download page of XrmToolBox: https://www.xrmtoolbox.com/

After downloading and unzipping it, open XrmToolBox.exe, connect to your D365 organization. Install 'Attribute Audit Explorer' in the plugin library and open it.

First click ‘Load Entities’, then check entities that will show audit data, then click 'Preview Data', finally click 'Export to Excel' to download it.

You could also select author and time filters in the lower left corner.

    Hi,

I made a report and used this fetchxml structure:

You can build a report and export this to excel.

    Kind regards,

    Mick

I think you can export them from the O365 Security and Compliance Centre?

Thank you all.  One more quick question related to this if you don't mind: how can I give users access to the audit logs?  I've given users the permissions in the screenshot below but they're still unable to view the audit logs.

Below is what they're seeing under Advanced Settings currently:

    Thanks!
