Error in VAT Amount calculation

Hi Members,

I request you to provide me suggestions and your valuable thoughts that would help me to resolve the issue which I am facing now. When I am trying to post a an entry via any journal, the VAT amount for the entry is getting calculated wrong. For example, when I am trying to post an entry whose amount is 1000 and the VAT being set to 15%, the VAT amount should be 150. But the VAT amount that I am getting is 130.43 . I have analyzed all the setups related to VAT and could not figure out what / where I missed.

Could you members help me out to know what was wrong and why the VAT Amount get's calculated wrongly ??

Please make sure that you enter the amount inclusive VAT in your journal.

Maybe you can take a screenshot of your journal lines?

So you should enter 1150 in your journal.

Hi, You can use Page Inspection to check whether the posting group on your line is consistent with the combination in the Vat Posting Group.

Inge is right. Amount in journal line should be entered the full amount incl. VAT.
The amount You are getting is 869,57 (amount without VAT) and 130.43 (15% VAT of 869,57) = and total is 1000
