Hi HypnoHans,
if your item is always stored on LPs of 100 units, then you can set it in the unit sequence group and add a convertion and then in your work template check the box "Packing Quantity as a maximum"
An other way to do so is to split it by a specific number of units with the field Quantity and you have to select the unit.
in addition you can split the works by :
a maximum weight or volume (for safety in manual works)
a maximum number of pick lines or estimated pick time in secondes (for efficiency)
