Product Lifecycle States Process Policy on Products

I recently enabled the Engineering Change Management module in D365 F&O, which allows me to block transactions for items using the Product Lifecycle State business process policy functionality. We use the Store Commerce POS app to sell items at our retail store.

However, I’m facing an issue: items that are blocked for sales in D365 F&O are not blocked for sales in the Store Commerce POS, even after running the Schedule Distribution Job for product information updates.

Has anyone encountered this situation before?

I've tried to do the exact same thing previously and found out that the Product Lifecycle status configuration is not working in POS and it will not block the product sale for retail transactions, It only works when the sales orders are created during statement posting and at that time it will not allow you to post the sales order in F&O.

I am not sure how Engineering Change Management will work with POS. There are two ways you can block a product on POS.

Stopped Products - Basically you use the default order settings. - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/commerce/assortments#stopped-products
Blocked Products - Use the commerce settings available on the products - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/commerce/assortments#blocked-products

You could try enabling the below feature to see if it make any difference "Support the Site and Default order settings on Customer orders" .
