MT940 converter

hi, I have one bank account in MT940 format where the bank is unable to deliver it in CAMT053. All other bank account statements are delivered in CAMT053. Is there a converter available to make sure my MT940 is being converted into CAMT053 before importing it?

    Hi,
     
    You should collaborate with a partner or a banking ISV to have the format created. I wouldn’t recommend using open-source formats unless you're fully familiar with the code

    There’s no native converter in Business Central to transform MT940 to CAMT.053, but you can use third-party tools or custom middleware to handle the conversion. Solutions like SWIFT Translator, Serrala, or bank integration platforms (e.g., Finastra, TIS) often offer MT940-to-CAMT.053 conversion. Alternatively, a custom script (e.g., using Power Automate or a small .NET app) can parse MT940 and generate CAMT.053 XML format if you have consistent MT940 structure from the bank.
