Management Reporter - Pulling Data from Two Companies

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello:

We have a very simple Management Reporter income statement consisting of a tree with an @ANY Summary row and two companies in the two rows underneath.

But, we cannot pull data from both companies at the same time upon generating the report.  We can only generate data for one or the other.

In the Company Name drop-down list in the Report Definition, it does not seem to matter whether we choose @ANY or a specific company.

How do we modify the Report Definition to pull data for both companies?

Thank you!

John

    Hi Mike:

I don't have on-demand access to the client's environment.  I have to "screenshare" with her, and she has left for the day.

The tree does not look any more different than what I described on those three rows.

All companies do share the same row format.  No row format is specified in the tree.

I don't know the CU version.

I realize that this is not much information to go on, but do you have an inkling as to why we cannot pull data from the two companies at once?

    Thanks, again, for your help!

Can you attach a screenshot of your Tree layout?

Do all companies share the same row format?

Did you specify a row format in the tree?

What version of MR  CU ...

    Hi Mike:

Thank you, for the quick response!

The first row of the tree is an @ANY Summary row.

The second row is pointing to one of the two companies, while the third row points to the other company.

I would think that such a generic tree would allow for pulling data for both companies, but it doesn't.

Is the issue being caused by choosing @ANY in the drop-down list at the top of the Report Definition?  Or, could it be that we should be logged into a specific company?

    Thanks, again, Mike!

Are your GL accounts the same in Both companies?

If so, in the tree, for the company column, you need to select that Company instead of @ANY.

Paste a pic of your Tree.
