System message Another process has added the wrkcmugl item. The program must be terminated.

When generating the Unrealized gain/ loss report in "currency manager", a message pops up in a new window saying "System message Another process has added the wrkcmugl item. The program must be terminated". Once I close the window, the report is generated/ displayed with the previous month's exchange rates.

What is causing this to happen and what is the fix?

    This error means that the record trying to be inserted into that table violates the unique index set up for that table.  This working table uses the curyid, doctype and refnbr as the unique index so you must have two documents with that same combination.  Those documents must have been created since the last successful run of that report.

    The reason you get the last report contents is that the insert query failed thereby leaving that table with just the contents from before.  Your issue could be that you have a new document that is duplicating what is already in that table or you have duplicate documents.  I know this does not directly find your problem for you but might give you a clue as to where to look.

    Of course, the first question I would ask is if you even expect unrealized gains/loss in the first place.  That should only occur if you deal in multi-currencies.

    Hi Rick, Thank you for your response. I will have one of out IT folks read your response and take it from there.  Also to answer your last question regarding multi-currency, the answer is "yes" we do operate in USD,CDN$, GBP & PESO.
