Multiple Timers in the Canvas Application

How can we avoid the multiple timers in the canvas application to optimize the performance of the application and to sync the time values on all the timers ?

I have one main timer which runs for 6 minutes and in that 6 min for every 2 minutes it triggers another timer and saves data back to dataverse.
After completion of first 5 minutes of each 6 min timer there has to be a popup notification. How should i avoid all this sub timers and put this only in one timer ? Does that improves the performance of the application ?

Need your help/thoughts.

Thanks
