Why there is no logout button in Dynamics CRM On-Premise?

Hi,

I face this question every now and then and it is very difficult to explain to the business users that there is no sign-out/logout button in Dynamics CRM on-premise. I need some very good technical reasons for this.

Hi Fahad,

Microsoft Dynamics CRM uses windows form of authentication for web application authentication . You can review this article for Active Directory and window authentication form.

Hi Fahad,

There is a logout button in CRM On Prem if you're running IFD instead of Windows Authentication. I'd suggest switching authentication modes (besides being accessible from outside, I prefer the forced login that you get from IFD).

Onpremise uses Active Directory Authentication, so you are always logged on using the identity that you logged on to Windows with.
