Dirk,
I copied the number below from a PDF and pasted into the Item Search and it works.
Do you have the PDF I can test?
Thanks,
Steve
Steven,
I have the same issue for purchase orders:
I get a PDF where I can copy 1 article number from the PDF and want to paste it in the search box for the Item number
This works fine in the desktop version but does not work in the web client version.
In the web client I have to type manually the item number.
It is no option for me to copy the item number from the PDF,
paste it into an excel that has mimics the item line
and then copy the excel line
to paste it as a line in BC.
Is this a bug?
Best regards,
Dirk Verliefden
Besian,
I think I follow but could be lost here... I can create a Copy/Paste from Excel with dozens of rows of Item Numbers and copy them all in at once and it populates the description field automatically on insert. Your video shows you copying an Item No. missing the last few fields and yo are expecting the No. field to open the list up. Yes? I think yes. I don't think this is possible since copy/paste is more fixed meaning it does not expect one wanting to pop-up the list to select.
Maybe you can create an Excel spreadsheet with the Item List full number and then copy the complete number.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steve
Steven,
This is a solution if I have only one item with No. 1100 , but if I have many items that start with 1100 and have this inside the code., this does not work. So when I paste the item no 1100 in sales line need to open the lookup and to see all items items that start with 1100 and have this inside the code
I am showing you an example in attach:

I have many items that start with OX153 and have this inside the code. In the photo is when i write the code manually the lookup is ok, I see all the items that start with OX153 and have this inside the code.
Thanks,
Besi
Besian,
OK, I see. You want to copy an Item No. into the No. field on a Sales Quote. This is possible and it will populate the Item Description on paste.
I copied the 1100 from Excel.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steve

Hello,
Let's say I want to Copy/Paste into Sales Lines whether 1 row or many, make sure the columns in Excel are the same as your Sales Lines:
Now on the Sales Line, you right click on the Type Item (shown below) and choose Paste:
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steve
Are many items that start with OX153 and have this inside the code.
