You can add quick view form on child records. For example You have account and contact entity. Account is parent to contact.  If you want to see more information about account in contact record in that case you  create a new quick view form with all the fields that you want to see in contact and publish it. Once you publish go to contact form customization and click on insert tab where you have option to insert quick view form account to contact form .

Thanks for the reply. I have created quick view forms and they have worked as expected. In this case I created a quick view form under an entity. It's published, I can't see anything related when I go to related entity on the QVF. So what determines the related entity dropdowns in the QVF? Is it relationships?

IE related entities don't give the same information as entities. Where are the related entities set or created ?

in order to add quick view form in the entity form that entity should have N:1 relationship ( lookup field to the quick view form entity). In simple word entity should have lookup field to quick view form entity .

That's awesome thank you. Will take a look at that and mark as answer if this resolves .

    Alex,

You need a lookup field then from that lookup field for example: Customer in the Case Form, you can get the quick view of your customer (Contact/Account)

So, the quick view form basically to get the detail info from a reference lookup field in the child form.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    heh aileen,

on the form when i create a lookup (which should create the relationship, correct?) i dont see the required entity "address" if i customise the system the address entity is there and created the quick view form on that entity. when i add the quick view to the "opportunity" form and select related entity the "address" entity doesn't show in the drop down list?

    Thanks
