Set default Editable Grid Group By

I would like to set the Group By on an editable grid (in CRM 365 running on desktop) as a default value.

Current default:

How I'd like it to look after form on load (default to a column, e.g. Product):

I've looked at the editable grid object in DOM and found some interesting values, however I don't know how to set them.

    Since the Grid Group By is saved over a session (if I choose Group By product, leave form and come back it will revert back to Group By product), there should be something called onload? However I can't find it.

    Did you figure anything out on this?  I'm trying to do the same thing but do not see a way to set or load a default group by value...

    I don't suppose anyone has any new insight regarding this issue? Setting a default Group By for editable grids...

    I guess we will have to live with this for now.

    As of now, I believe this is session based.
