Audit cannot be disabled on some fields

Hi

we want to only enable certain fields on the systemuser entity. We realized, that on some OOB fields the default setting for auditing is ON, and this setting cannot be changed. We can't see a logic in regards if a field audit setting can be changed or not. E.g. address1_name is changeable, address1_shippingmethodcode is not changeable. We are working with Dynamics CRM 2013 on-prem. I checked in CRM 2016 on-prem., same behaviour.

Can anyone explain that behaviour?

I currently see only the unsupported way to directly appy the change in the database, but I would prefer a supported way..

This is by design. There is no supported way to change it. The managed properties of this filed is set to False, and hence we cannot modify anything.
