Not able to use Global Search in Dynamics 365 model driven apps

We are not able to use Global search in two custom model driven apps in dynamics 365. In other apps. Global search is working fine

    This search works only if the "Search Enabled Tables" are available in the model driven app. 
     
    For example, following is an app where multiple tables are enabled for the search and it shows the results accordingly
     
    Following is an app where no table is enabled for the search. When tried for search, system shows an error as there are no tables enabled in the app for search
