Hi Everyone,

I have 1 Assembly Item and one Child Item.

I go to Demand Forecast to set qty for Assembly Item.

When I run Requisition Worksheet for this Demand Forecast. There is no result.

Can Demand Forecast used for Assembly Item when running Requisition Worksheet?

Thank you.

    Hello,

Please use planning worksheet instead of Requisition Worksheet, because the Requisition Worksheet does not consider demand forecast by default.

When you open planning worksheet >> Click on calculate regenerative plan.

You will see below option for select demand forecast.

After you will see the lines as you can see in the below screenshot.

Hit as a answered if you get your answer.

    Thank You

    Thank you Jinal
I tried to use Planning Worksheet but it did not generate the row.
Below is my set up for Item
    KIT1:

    CHILD1

    The Demand forecast for KIT1

    I run the Planning Worksheet

    It showed no row.
But when I created new Sales Order, it generated the quantity for CHILD1 in Sales Order as normal. This result is OK. But I still also need the quantity from Demand Forecast

Assemble-to-Order will not work with a Forecast.  Assemble-to-Order creates the Assembly Order when the Sales Line's Quantity is entered.  If you want the system to suggest Assembly Orders prior to the Sales existing, set your Assembly Item to "Assemble-to-Stock".  Then you should get a suggestion in the Planning Worksheet.

Please use Assembly Item to "Assembly-to-stock", and try again.

Let me know if it is still not working.

    Thanks

Assemble-to-Order does not operate with a Forecast. Assemble-to-Order generates the Assembly Order once an entered quantity is populated in the Sales Line. If you want the system to suggest Assembly Orders before the Sales exist, then change your Assembly Item to "Assemble-to-Stock". After that, you should receive a suggestion to create an assembly order in the Planning Worksheet.

    Namaste ,

Demand Forecast is specially for Sales Orders and Production Orders planning where there is make-to-order strategy in item card . If assembled item is available in production order or Sales Order  then you have to check for components -forecast

Demand forecast Screen do have Forecast type - Component which helps for planning components . You need to be careful about period in forecasts .

    Important Note

Please refer the below link which is useful and in detial explained .

    How to resolve this issue:
    1) Ensure Assembly Policy = Assemble-to-Stock
    2) Ensure Reordering Policy = anything other than blank (Lot-for-Lot in this example)
    3) If using Locations (which you should), ensure a Stockkeeping Unit exists for the Item/Location combination (with above Planning Parameters)
    4) In Manufacturing Setup (regardless of Production), turn on "Use forecast on locations" and "Use forecast on variants"

    5) Use the Planning Worksheet
    6) Ensure your Forecast is in the Calc. Regen. Plan option

    7) Ensure your Planning Horizon includes the dates set in your Demand Forecast (demo data dates in the past)

If you follow these steps, you will see a result in your Planning Worksheet.  If you struggle with these settings or MRP in general, you should reach out to a partner who specializes in Manufacturing and Inventory Management.

P.S. If you selected "Fixed Reorder" or "Max Inventory" for the Reordering Policy, if your Demand Forecast doesn't drop you below your Reorder Point you will not get a suggestion (which would be the correct suggestion).
