Group items on an invoice

Hello, everyone,

is there a way to group items in an invoice and only show the total and a group description?

I work for a craft business. The aim is to record all building materials used on the invoice for internal evaluations and stock levels. However, we don't want to send the customer ten-page invoices listing each screw individually.

Thank you for your help and best regards
Nico

Danielle is proposing that you setup your finished items with assembly BOMs. Put the finished item on the invoice and when the invoices posts the system will automatically remove all the component items from inventory. This is a good suggestion.

Otherwise, you would need a customization

Hi, I agree with Kim, you can use the Assembly Order to assemble the screw into a box and then sell it. I think this is the easiest way to use the standard functions, if you want to customize it, you also need a place to manage the grouping, which is relatively complex.

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.
