    You can set that at the Site level.  Cards >> Inventory > Site .  Select a Site.  Click the Bins button and select a bin for Purchase Receipts. This will apply for all Items

    You can also do the same from the Item Quantities Maintenance window.  Setting the Bin at this level will over-ride the setting at the Site.  It is safe to use SQL to update Default Bins.

    Nothing more valuable to add for Mr. Tim suggestion.

    Just to emphasize upon the point of DB modification, you need to consider the following tables;

    • IV40701 | Site Bin Master
    • IV00112 | Item Site Bin Master
    • IV00117 | Item Site Bin Priorities

    Another suggestion in case of mass data modification would be to set a macro on the Item-Quantities window. The bottle neck is that the decision on how to modify would be basically the specific requirements of your business.

    Item Quantities Maintenance changes would be made on IV00102  Item Quantity Master.

    Dear Tim & Mahmoud thanks a lot for your kind reply.  Yes I wanted to do on the Item quantities maintenance since we have enabled  multiple bins.  So my plan is run a macro on Item quantities maintenance window and fill in item site default bins for each Inventory item.  In that way when ever this item received through POP or MO it will go to respective bins.  Thanks a lot again.

    Babu,

    Did you manage to assign the items to their respective bins so that during receiving, the items get associated with their default bins.

    Do you have sql script. which is the specific database table???
