Hi All
I know you can run requisition worksheets to create purchase orders for components on production orders. Is there a action or anything that can be invoked directly from the released production order to create a purchase order?

Assuming all your components are purchased to order, the closest you can get to this is running order planning filtered to prod order demand.
If you only have a single layer BOM, this will work.
However, if you have inventory levels of some items, you wouldn’t want to just order everything, you want to optimise inventory requirements which leads you using planning or requisition worksheets.
A low level way of planning like that doesn’t exist. Would leave you exposed to over stocking unless each PO creation checks existing purchases, stock, transfers and returns. All of which the planning tools do. MRP is the optimal to handle this scenario
