Hi folks

 

I have goofed as I have set up some of my companies in GP.

Our company goes both its legal name and its abbreviated name LWI.

 

I have set up some databases through utilities using the LWI and some with the full name.

So at login  the list of companies has some that are out of order alphabetically.

 

Can I change the login name through GP, or do i have to ask my sysadmin to run a change query in query analyzer?

Or

Its on the database name itself, and I really am stuck with them?

    When I go to Admin>Setup>Company>Company the Company Name and Company ID is grayed out.  I cannot change the Company Name.  Is there a way around this.  (Using the sa account).

    Hi There!

    You can change the company name by going to Administration -> Setup -> Company -> Company (or Microsoft Dynamics GP -> Tools -> Setup -> Company -> Company from the menu bar).  This will change the order on the login window.  You cannot change the database ID once it has been created.
