Hello,

I would like to delete a Price List that I created but I get the error "The record could not be deleted because of an association". Is there a way to solve this and delete the list?

Thank you.

Javier.

This error is coming because, this price list is used in some of the object (quote, order, invoice, account, contact, product, price list item etc)

You need to find that reference and need to remove reference with price list, then you will able to delete price list.

In short.. you need to find, in which records this price list is used, remove this reference and then delete price list.

    Hi,

Go to Advance Find select Price List entity under Look For and then select Related entities (for example product, opportunity  etc) one by one so you will be able to see all references where this pricelist is used. You need to remove references from there.

    Thanks

    hello,

at get all related entities, use advance find with each one according to your price list  then delete it.

after that return to your price list and delete it.

    Dear Javier ,

You can also deactivate the price list instead of deleting it, deactivated price lists are not show on orders, opportunities, quotes and invoices.

    Regards,

    Abed.

    Javier,

It can be caused that because you still have Price List Item related, Opportunity, Quote, etc.

It's not easy to delete this.

If you have used that one for transaction.

But, if not, usually it was because you have already the Price list Item from this Price List.

It's not easy to delete Price List, because it has been linked to many relationship.

You can change some behavior, but also not recommended to not restrict delete

My suggestion, you can modify the Price List record by setting the Start Date and End Date also, but you need to filter manually, also can deactivate it.

If this Price List you just created, usually only because of Price List Item or Discount List related. You must remove them first.

    Thanks.
