Does ADFS 4.0 fix the infinite login loop issue that can happen when used with CRM?

We are experiencing this problem with a piece of custom software and with SharePoint 2013.

We are in a position where this issue is going to have to be addressed. I'm hoping ADFS 4.0 addresses the issue without requiring the set up of child domains, which is another set of problems I really don't need right now.

I wanted to ask if anyone has tried ADFS 4.0 with CRM + some other product, all in the same domain, and can comment on whether it works or not.

Bumping this -- ANYONE at Microsoft care to address this and provide an ETA for a fix?

Bumping my own thread.

Over a year later and no fix from Microsoft. This is absurd. Does anyone have a solution that *doesn't* involve deploying new domain controllers and buying new certificates?
