Well, I can see these forums are going to be nothing like the newsgroup was in communicating with our peers. I am very disappointed we lost that resource, and almost feel as if I've lost a good friend. I had been active for almost 6 years on that group. I really believe MS did us a disservice by shutting it down. I find forums to be very clunky to read and manage. It also doesn't seem like there is much activity here. Certainly not the activity MS would have us believe. I think I have been posting mainly to myself the last 2 or 3 weeks. MS says the forums were getting more popular than the NG's and they wanted to make the best use of their resources. That might be true for some of their products, but the RMS group was very active. If you had a reasonable question it was answered very quickly and accurately. Usually in less than a day. So far I don't see that happening here. As a matter of fact it seems as if most questions go unanswered. Maybe things will pick up. I hope they do because I can use the help and I'm sure others could also. The NNTP bridge they told us about isn't working either. Just one more disappointment with MS's attempt at "Self Support". Things were good the old way(newsgroup). Sometimes new is not better. {END RANT}
