hello community

I'm trying as a system administrator to reassign records from one user to another and I get the following error.

Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: SecLib::CrmCheckPrivilege failed. </OrganizationServiceFault>

Does anyone know what privileges the user need to do this?

On the user the record is getting assigned to, does one of their security roles have read permission on this entity?

    RE: Error data reassign

    Hi Jason

The security role have the next read permissions:

    Data Mapping

    Assigning entity

    Attribute assignment

    entity

    and opportunities, contacts, leads.

other records can be read and they have permissions to create, assign, attach, share, but these are what I think may be related to the error.

One of my users will be disable. The user to whom i want to reassign the records have the same security role "business consultant" created by me.

But the system tells me that the user i want to reassign not have sufficient privileges to reassign these records.

    Hi pflores,

If you are using an on-premise version of CRM, I would recommend reproducing the error while tracing is enabled, as the trace files collected will specifically call out the privilege that is missing when you are reassigning the records. Should you need any assistance with looking through the collected log(s), please feel free to post them here and I will take a look at them.

    RE: Error data reassign

I'm on a trial version of CRM Online Does apply the same track? I don´t have the "CRM Client" neither the CRM in a server. Is there any other option to enabled the track in this version? Thank you very very much for you help.

    RE: Error data reassign

    Hi pflores,

As you are using CRM Online, my recommendation would be to open a support case for this issue, as it will require an engineer to look through the logs on the backend to determine which privilege is missing.

Thank´s Jon! That is a bad new hehe, i´ll comment the situation (open a support case) with my boss. The idea is to figure out by my self, but thank you for your orientation. You´re very helpful.

can you check the CAL ( client access license ) on user form under "Administration Tab"

verify that the user has read - write option selected in access mode for both assignee and assigner
