How to show a field of BC in Word that is not list by default but available as per CTRL + ALT + F1

Posted on by 35

Hi,

I must add dimension to my invoice report in BC but it's not list in the field list in Word but it's show as available when I do CTRL + ALT + F1 in the invoice printing screen.

I heard about a data set to add. Is someone able to give me some information about this? it's something I can do by myself or I need to hire a programmer to do it for me?

Thanks to all!

Sonia

    Hi,

You need to add those fields in your report using customization, with Report Extension.

You can follow this link how to extend report - learn.microsoft.com/.../devenv-report-ext-object

    Thanks.

Hi, Unfortunately, this requires customization. If it is a version after BC18, you can use ReportExtension Object, if it is a previous version, you must copy the original report and re-develop it. In any case, as of now, it is not supported for users to add fields to DataItem by themselves.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.
