Set up Wave Demand Replenishment cannot refill various items in different warehouse

Wave template has Replenish method which triggers Demand based replenishment.
We have separate teams who picks / replenish stock from Bulk to Refill (or staging) and then different team picks it from Refill (or staging) and moved it to Pick Location.

Now in our scenario, we create a Sales orders with two lines for two different items in two different location (same location profile BULK). Then we already setup replenishment for 2 items in one work

This is how system works:
Items are picked from BULK with two different locations
Items are PUT to REFILL - same location
Then items are PICKed from REFILL - same location

However, our expectation: Customer would like to put (refill) the two items in different locations (same location profiles) from REFILL pick

Question 1: We tried to setup Location directive but all items will be refilled in 1 location after pick from REFILL. Is there replenishment Put away Work? (cannot find yet)

Question 2: We are thinking of this one suggestion to create each replenishment work for each items:

https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/microsoft-dynamics-ax-forum/154115/whs-multiple-put-locations-for-one-replenishment-work/359467

However there might be hundred works for hundred items. Can we have Cluster Pick (from BULK to REFILL) and then break down the work header when picking from REFILL to BULK?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Amie,

What is the exact requirement ? To put each item in a different location of REFILL ?

Have you tried to set Allow mixed items = No on REFILL location profile ?

Or maybe use Empty location with no incoming work as strategy for the Replenishment location directive - Put record and split work per item ?

    Thanks,

    Alina

This is slightly tricky requirement please read it thoroughly -

Multiple replenishment Work ID are created due to Wave demand replenishment and Worker want to pick from Bulk once and once his pallet is full (he will use Full menu option on WMS app) he would take /leave that pallet at Refill (or staging) location and then Pick team will come and pick individual boxes (not full pallet) and move stock to respective Bin (Pick Bin are set as 1 Bin = 1 item so NO Mixed items are allowed, that's customers ask) and from these respective Bin - Sales picking work to happen.

I have also observed that when replenishment Work ID are created and whatever is the final Put location of Replenishment work, it actually becomes the Pick location of Sales picking work.

Now the challenge here is - how to achieve picking from Bulk as consolidated pick (i.e. multiple work with different items to be picked from diff locations) and then put to staging as single pallet (or consolidated pick) and later it has be picked Work ID by Work ID (as Work is broken per Replenish location id? We are using Work header breaks (and breaking Work as Replenish location id)

If you have done this in pas or have dealt with it then please share your views / thought to achieve it, it would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Alina Lica REFILL will allow mixed item. However our question is after items are picked from REFILL to the final PUT location (similar to BULK), they could not be separated into different locations. The final PUT location should not allow mixed location because we wants the two items should be refilled in two different locations.

Unfortunately, system did not work like that. If the final PUT location does not allow mixed location, there will be error that no location in the work is blank and we could not process to put any location we wants for the item.

If we enable allow mixed location, the two items will be PUT in one location which will not meet the requirements.

    Hello Amie,

    One solution would be to:

    - define replenishment template with 4 steps (with staging)

    1. Pick form Bulk

    2. Put to Refill (stage)

    3. Pick from Refill

    4. Put to Pick location

    - break works per item

    - set strategy on Location directives - Replenishment - Put - Empty location with no incoming work, to make sure that each item will be put in a different Pick location

There is no replenishment Put away work.

Breaking down from Refill to Pick location, can be done only manually, by the worker, clicking Full button to split the work in different locations.

    Thanks,

    Alina

    Hi Alina,

Thanks for your response and suggested solution however this solution meets the requirement partially because the requirement is to combine replenishment Pick Works of different SKUs and put them to Refill (or staging) in one go (to save workers time in going back n forth from bulk to refill) and later from Refill pick team worker will need to pick item-wise and put to respective Pick Bin (where mix SKU is not allowed)

If you have any other alternative to achieve then please advise. Thank You.
