Linking Currencies Values to Marketing Lists

Out of the box crm defaults to having just "Currency" field enabled under marketing lists. This prohibits me from pulling customers that may have more than one currency selected in the "currencies" field under customers. Instead, I created a field shown below in marketing lists, but it doesn't pull members from leads or customers that have these options selected. How do I link them to achieve this?

Re: Linking Currencies Values to Marketing Lists

    Hi CFX,

The members on a marketing list are either added manually (one at a time) or they are added via Advanced Find query.  They have nothing to do with the attributes of the marketing list.

In your screenshot the Marketing List type is Account, but it looks like you are trying to add Leads to your list.  In order to create a marketing list, do the following.

    1. Create a new Marketing List of

               Select Member Type Leads,

               Give it a name,

               Select Type: Dynamic

and click Save on the Ribbon

    2. Click Manage Members on the ribbon

    5. Do a query to find all Leads with the desired currency and click Use Query

Note: You can also do your query ahead of time with Advanced Find, if desired, and resuse that query.  You can also choose type of Static and use multiple different queries if you cannot get your list from a single query.

I apologize for using my leads page, I have the same setup for Accounts as well.  When I manage my members, set the appropriate filters,  and query, it does not find the customers I know to have the option selected. Therefore, it appears they are not linked in some manner.

    Hi CFX,

Yes, how have you created these multiple currencies checkboxes?

The field did not exist prior, so I made the fields similar to how they were made in leads/accounts. I gave the field + form the following properties shown below.

    Hi CFX,

Ah!  I see, so this multi-select javascript then stores the values in the Currencies Values field.  So, then are you using 'Contains' as the Operator in your Advanced Find Query?

    Currencies Values Contains AUD OR

    Currencies Values Contains CAD

Ah, that works! I was trying currencies equals xx then currencies values equals xx, but failed to try Contains. Thanks!

The only thing is that the its determined by the filter rather than the option select, but still works non the less.
