Auditing the On-Hand List Quantity Adjustment

(1) ShareShare

Is there any way to see which user processed an adjustment using the On-Hand List Quantity Adjustment function?  In my example, I have adjusted out 8 qty of inventory using this function.  The button opens a WMS Online Counting page.

The Inventory Transaction table (InventTrans) does not have a user id, nor does the warehouse transaction view (WHSInventTransAndWarehouseTransactionView).

Using this function does not create a record into the InventJournalTrans table like a regular inventory adjustment journal would.  Is there another table or view that would have this user ID information?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi
You can use "View" counting history from the on hand list form to see the history for a selected item.
The same table with all items - both from counting journal and using quantity adjust feature you will find under Inventory management - Inquires and Report-Counting history. The difference between them is that the items counted using "Quantity adjust" feature will not have recorded an journal number in the table.

    Hi,

Adjustments made using the On-Hand List > Quantity Adjustment function don’t go through the standard inventory journal posting, so you won’t find user info in InventJournalTrans.

The InventTrans and WHSInventTransAndWarehouseTransactionView tables also don’t capture the user ID.
    You can try checking:
InventTransOrigin: Might give a traceable reference.
WMSOrderTrans or WHSWorkUserSession: If WMS is involved, these could capture user actions.
Database logging: If user tracking is needed long term, consider enabling logging on key fields.

Apparently, there’s no out-of-the-box link to the user for this action, so a customization or process change may be needed if auditability is a requirement.

    Warm Regards,
    Zain
