unable to post an invoice for a purchase order

Hi,

I'm no longer seeing the "receipt and invoice" option when I post a purchase order.
I can only post the receipt (everything related to the invoices has disappear).
I correctly set both the receipt and quantity to invoice columns.
it worked before but not now.

Is there a security or config causing this?
I'm not able to find anything related to this problem.

I'm a super user in a dev/test environment. so I don't understand what's the problem is.

Mohana is correct. Your User Setup needs to have the "Purch. Invoice Posting Policy" set to either option below in order to Post the Invoice.

"Allowed": Shows all options, including the "Receipt and Invoice" option.

or

"Mandatory": Only shows the "Invoice" option.

Based on you only seeing the "Receipt" option, your User is likely set to "Restricted".
