Where can I find the data values in Option Sets?

Hi everyone

I'm very new to Dynamics 365, so please forgive me if this is a silly question.

I've output our Contacts table which includes the fields sic_maritalstatus, si_type and sic_gender as shown on the attached image. As you'll see, the Marital Status (usually either Single or Married) is shown as a numeric value. This is the same for the Type and Gender fields.

All these fields are based on Option Sets within CRM, and I assume that a table / entity must exist which has these codes alongside their text values (e.g. 907510002 = Married etc).

Where would I find this table / entity, or is it in a different place for each set up of Dynamics? Am I able to find out from within Dynamics itself?

Many thanks
Jon

    Hello Jon,

Pairs of Values/Labels could be found in the StringMap view.

    Hello Andrew

Many thanks for your reply. Is this Entity also available in the Online version as I can't find it when creating a Data Connection from within Excel?

    Many thanks

    Jon

In addition to using the table Andrew suggested, you can also extract the data dictionary (includes the numbers and values against the fields) to word or excel  by using the XRMToolBox tool (free) with its Metadata Document Generator plugin/add-in.
